Emily celebrated the big 5 yesterday! She also had her first ballet/tap class. Two words come to mind: Wound. Up.
She had a blast! Little miss princess asked to wear her birthday girl tiara with her ballet outfit. So we let her (after all -- it was her birthday!). When we got to her dance class, the ballet teacher had everyone sing to Emily. A little bit later, while I was out in the hallway chatting with some of the other mothers, I heard them singing the song again -- so looked in the observer's window to see who the other birthday girl was. Nope -- it was Emily again! The ballet instructor had switched out with a tap dance instructor. Emily made sure to also tell the second teacher about her birthday. That girl!!!
